Canda Rozier, former SVP/CPO First Data
Canda Rozier is a former Chief Procurement Officer and successful leader with global expertise in helping companies with cost reduction and business or operational transformation for procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management and real estate/facilities management.
She is currently the Owner and Principal at Canda S. Rozier, LLC, an independent consulting services firm specializing in strategic procurement, cost reduction initiatives and business operations improvement for Fortune 500 and mid-market companies.
As SVP/Chief Procurement Officer at First Data, Canda was responsible for worldwide procurement and real estate/facilities management. She led multi-million dollar initiatives that involved significant contract negotiation, workforce globalization, and the delivery of shared services. A performance-driven executive, she managed global teams that redesigned business processes, and consolidated companies, data centers and properties.
During her almost 20 years at First Data Corporation, she was integral in integrating numerous acquisitions across multiple countries, and worked extensively throughout Europe and Asia. Canda helped acquire and divest businesses, worked on the spin-off of the $4 billion Western Union business and participated in the $29 billion buyout of First Data, which took it from a public to a private company.
Prior to First Data, she worked in a variety of marketing roles and in product management at ACB Business Services, Inc. and Health Systems Group, which were both subsidiaries of American Express. She also served in marketing and systems analyst roles at Unisys (Burroughs) Corporation.
Rozier is a past member of numerous business organizations, including the National Association of Purchasing Management where she served on a state board of directors for two years. She is fluent in French and speaks some German. Rozier has a BA from Davidson College, with Special Studies from St. Anne’s College at Oxford University; graduated from the Harvard Executive Program on Negotiation, and received a leadership certificate from Vanderbilt-Owens Business School. She is contributor to Purchasing Magazine and the Shared Services Outsourcing Network.
