Data Visibility

Often the challenge with indirect services procurement is the lack of visibility into the data required to make accurate decisions. Many of today’s ERP systems and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems do not provide the detail necessary to make intelligent strategic decisions on indirect procurement expenditures. HCMWorks knows that to create an effective business case, the right data and details are required. Therefore, we established a 4-step methodology that enables us to gain the richest value out of the data that is currently available:

  1. Data Cleansing:

    Our data scrubbing engines coupled with our proprietary algorithms enable us to segment and rationalize the data quickly. With off-shore support, HCMWorks can often turn this process around with minimal processing time.

  2. Vendor/Industry Segmentation:

    HCMWorks also works with our industry/vendor segmentation engines to assist in making vague data more meaningful.  Once the data has been scrubbed and organized, the data becomes an important part of our strategy creation.

  3. Rate Variance Measures:

    Our analysis process quickly provides our clients with a dashboard that reflects extreme rate variances for the same services, demonstrating immediate savings opportunities.

  4. Roll-up Reporting:

    We aggregate the rationalized data into several key roll up segments, including but not limited to: Vendor, Service, Department, Division, etc.
