Julia Fournier, Managing Partner
Over the last 16 years Ms. Fournier has worked in increasingly progressive careers in the Global Staffing Industry with two of the largest staffing companies in the world. Most recently Julia has assisted technology firms providing talent management and contingent workforce management solutions to organizations like the Government of Canada, AT&T and Bell Canada.
During the past three years Julia has worked with various leading vendor management systems (VMS) to provide Canadian Fortune 100 companies with contingent workforce management solutions. These solutions have resulted in the more effectively management of their vendor community while meeting their overall supply chain goals for this complex category. Julia has helped procurement organizations and HR to manage their supply base and improve vendor performance while increasing quality.
Prior to her time in VMS, Julia served as Director of Operations (Canada) for the largest global staffing company. As General Manager of Call Centre Services for the Global and National Account Sales Teams Julia was responsible for managing the largest Call Centre accounts globally. During her tenure Julia supported overall requirements for North America’s largest Telecommunications Company, along with the, IT and consulting clients to manage more than $400M in total contingent workforce spend.
Today Julia provides consulting services and best practice insight to the largest Canadian users of contingent and contract labour helping them to drive to savings, visibility and compliance. Julia holds a business degree from Sheridan College.
Ted Weyn, Managing Partner
Prior to founding HCMWorks, Mr. Weyn served as Executive Vice President with White Amber. White Amber, now a part of Taleo Workforce On-Demand, was one of the industry’s first electronic procurement and management technologies for Human Capital Management. As one of the company’s co-founders, Ted was instrumental in securing over 60% of the company’s revenue while developing the corporate infrastructure to support sales and strategic alliances. Ted has instructed Fortune 100 companies such as Wachovia, CapitalOne, Entergy, Sony, Exxon, IBM, Thomas J. Lipton, First Fidelity and others in the efficient practices of contingent workforce management.
Ted also served as the Executive Director of Information Technology Services with Acsys, Inc; a publicly traded professional staffing company. At Acsys, he was responsible for the firm’s Information Technology Staffing practice as well as overseeing the successful integration of several large acquisitions.
Today, Ted provides consulting services and best practices insight to procurement executives seeking to gain visibility into and control over indirect services expenditures such as contingent labor, helping them to drive savings and compliance within their organizations. Ted graduated from Fordham University.
Paul Chatigny, CA, CPA, Vice President, Corporate Controller
Mr. Chatigny is a seasoned accounting professional with 20 years of financial management experience. Prior to joining HCMWorks, Paul was the Chief Financial Officer at San Anton Resource Corporation, a publicly traded company on the TSX.
Paul has extensive experience working in the high tech sector, previously working as the Director of Finance for two Ottawa-based start-up companies, TenXC Wireless and Meriton Networks. He was a key member of their management teams, raising over US $50 million in several rounds of private equity financing. Prior to this, Paul held progressively senior management roles in finance during his seven years at Newbridge Networks (acquired by Alcatel), where he participated in developing financial controls and processes necessary to support the growth in revenues from $300 million to over $2 billion.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business. He is a member in good standing of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois.
Management Team:
Maude Boivin – Director, Managed Services
Prior to joining HCMWorks Ms. Boivin was Regional Director of the Quebec region for Kelly Services. Maude started her career with Kelly and moved from service coordination to regional manager – managing over 5 branch offices in Quebec and over 100 employees. Maude was directly responsible for several national accounts in that market. Maude was with Kelly Services for a period of 10 years. During Maude’s tenure with Kelly Services the region saw significant growth and performance.
Alicia Stanfill – Director, Consulting Services
Ms. Stanfill has over 10 years of business consulting experience. Prior to joining HCMWorks as a Business Analyst, Alicia worked as a management consultant for small and medium sized businesses. Typical projects included developing business plans to obtain debt and equity financing, formulating regionally specific marketing and sales strategies, and analyzing pro-forma financial statements. Additionally, Alicia was a Clinical Faculty member for the Ohio University Integrated MBA program. She managed several teams of MBA students as they worked on complex projects with small to mid sized businesses in Appalachian Ohio.
Alicia has also assisted several Fortune 100 companies with managing their environmental liabilities throughout the United States. This process included overseeing multiple contractors and personnel, liaising with lawyers and state and federal regulatory agencies, as well as analyzing complex data sets to determine appropriate and cost effective strategies.
Alicia holds a Bachelor of Science (With Honors) from Lehigh University and an MBA (Finance) from Ohio University. As an MBA student, Alicia worked in Wuhan, China with a team of MBA students to develop a North American sales strategy and a competitive compensation plan.
Kimberly Smokey – Director, Value Creation
Ms. Smokey has 20 years progressive executive experience in the Finance, Insurance and REtail (FIRE) industry, with the last 11 years focused on various aspects of global sourcing and procurement strategies. She possesses proven record of success for developing effective strategies while balancing operational efficiencies to drive profitable business growth. Demonstrated expertise in collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate disposition of matters related to employees, legal obligations, and operational processes. Kimberly has extensive global management experience having overseen and ensured efficient operations in 17 countries throughout North America, South America, EMEA, and ASPAC.
Most recently, Kimberly was an SVP and Director of Corporate Services Supplier Management with Wachovia Bank. She facilitated the implementation of a centralized, global shared services model whereby operational administration, contract compliance, data collection and benchmarking, supplier management and demand management strategies were administered for 21 categories, including: Corporate Travel Services, Marketing, Advertising, Print Services, Express Mail, Logistics, Food Services, Water and Beverage, Fitness, Fleet Services, Medallion Stamps, Office Equipment, Office Suppliers, Print Machines, Records Management – Paper and Tape; Secure Data Destruction, Waste Management, Postage, Forms and Envelopes. Additionally, Kimberly created a supplier scorecard program rated as best in class that was implemented at the Enterprise level, which provided an objective, consistent mechanism to measure a supplier’s contractual obligations, customer impact, rules of engagement and innovation.
Prior to working for Wachovia, Kimberly was a leader in the JPMorganChase (JPMC) Sourcing organization where she held several positions, such as Director of Supplier Management, IT Offshore Supplier Relationship Manager, and Sourcing Manager. During her 6 years with JPMC, Kimberly managed suppliers within all managed categories including: Hardware, Software, Professional Services, IT Offshore, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Telecom, and Indirect Services/Corporate Services. Her responsibilities included contract negotiation, compliance, supplier performance management, strategic project implementation, utilization optimization, data analysis and benchmarking, sourcing process creation, documentation and implementation.
Kimberly augments her years of experience in the sourcing and procurement industry with a B.A in Business Administration, a B.A. in Communications and is working on her M.B.A in International Business.
